Westmore Town Forest Public Meeting August 19th 4:30 to 5:30 PM
Did you know that the town of Westmore has a Town Forest on Long Pond Road? This 294 acre parcel is owned by the Town of Westmore, and is accessed from the town gravel pit off Long Pond Road. The town is currently working with the Orleans County Forester to develop an updated Forest Management Plan, and we would like the community’s input. Please come and join Jared Nunery (Orleans County Forester) and representatives of the town to learn more about this land, and share your thoughts on the management goals and objectives for this land. The meeting will take place at the Westmore Community Church Fellowship Hall (37 Hinton Hill Rd, Westmore) on Thursday August 19th from 4:30 to 5:30PM to learn more about the inventory of land and the draft Forest Management Plan.
