Green Up Day 2024: Join Us in Westmore, Vermont

Mark your calendars!
On Saturday, May 4th, 2024, Westmore, Vermont, will come alive with community spirit as we celebrate Green Up Day.
Let’s beautify our town, pick up litter, and make a positive impact on our environment. Whether you’re a seasoned participant or a first timer, your efforts matter. We appreciate everyone's help. Bags are available at the Town Clerk's office. A town truck will be parked at the Town Clerk's office from 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, May 4 to drop off bags. If you miss this time slot, it is okay to leave your bag (tied closed) on the side of the road and the Road Crew will pick it up next week.
THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING & TOWN OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED THE WEEK OF JULY 13 TO THE 19TH FOR RENOVATIONS

The Town of Westmore is seeking public comments on the draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The public comment period will run from July 1 through July 21. A copy of the draft plan can be found on the Town's website here or a copy can be picked up at the town offices. Please submit comments to Stephanie Magnan of SEAM Solutions at steph.magnan@seamsolutionsvermont.com . The purpose of the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify local natural hazards that are a threat to the community, and outline mitigation actions to reduce vulnerability to these hazards. Maintaining an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan is one of the four requirements for Emergency Relief Assistance Fund (ERAF) status and is an eligibility requirement to apply for Hazard Mitigation Grants.
Please contact the Town Clerk at 802-525-3007 or clerk@westmoreonline.org if you are interested.
